FLOWERS IN HANGING BASKETS

Flowers in hanging baskets are not only a prominent feature of home gardens when spring chases away the cold grey days of winter in Britain but are also on display in towns and villages with their gaudy blooms brightening the most drab of urban landscapes.

While familiar annual species such as petunias, lobelias and nemesias are some of most popular plants for use in hanging baskets, a great variety of other plants are suitable for this form of container gardening – including ivy geraniums, calibrachoas, pansies, alyssum, verbena and begonias.
